  2. OK. But it's not actually a very interesting piece of writing. It's just me practicing various grammatical structures:

"During the summer holiday, I studied at a Japanese language school. It was interesting but difficult. I started studying kanji and learnt many new words and sentence structures. During lessons, I only ever understood half of what was taught, so often I met with friends after, who explained things further. I was so busy, I didn't have time to go anywhere (not true!). Everyday, I had homework that I had to complete and submit. Hard!
From home, I could get to the school by bike in ten minutes. I like the school. The teachers are nice, lessons are interesting and it was near to home. I want to continue to study there in the future.
However, from now until December I will take a rest from studying further courses. Last week, I returned to work. Trying to study at the same time as working is difficult. In addition, I've studied so much grammar, but I can only use it on paper and not during conversation. I should have made more of an effort to talk during classes. I was nervous. Consequently, I find speaking in Japanese more difficult. So, before starting the next class, I think it's a good idea for me to practice speaking. I do want to try the next class. I've heard from the teachers that a class will begin in January. I'm looking forward to it. Japan is a beautiful place and Japanese is a beautiful language. Thank you everyone.
